Teens to Teens Reading Project Post 17

Hi Everyone! Over the course of this week, I’ve accomplished a lot of work. First, four new reviews on the books from the Divergent series and also The Fault In Our Stars have been added to my website ( ).  I have had these reviews written for a while but it wasn’t until this week that my mentor was able to read over them and give me the okay to put them up. You should totally check them out to get my feedback about some of the hottest books out right now.

In addition, I finished reading United We Spy by Ally Carter.  United We Spy is the sixth and final book in the Gallagher Girls series that came out late in 2013. I got the book for Christmas and have been dying to read it ever since. Ally Carter always is able to create such cool and high packed action stories with characters that everyone loves and can find something in common with. I especially love the characters of Cammie and her friends because they are very funny and just like normal girls (even if normal girls don’t attend spy school). If you’d like to see more reviews about Ally Carter’s other books, including the Heist Society series or the other books in this series, feel free to let me know by hitting the “Contact” button on my website and leaving me a comment!

Furthermore, because I have finished reading United We Spy, I am hoping to have written this review by next week and have it posted on my website within the following two weeks. It was a great book that didn’t disappoint. I was very surprised by what the final adventure was for Cammie and her friends. I am sure that I will be writing a positive review on this book; and would prematurely recommend it to any girl that is looking for an action packed, fast read that will leave you wondering what the characters are doing after the story ends.

Finally, after finishing my last book, I did a little research and picked out my next read. With the Olympic Games occurring this week and the previous week, I found it very appropriate to read a book about some of the athletes competing in the games.  So, with ice skating being my favorite sport in the winter Olympics, I am now reading Tessa & Scott Our Journey from Childhood Dream to Gold. This book is about the Canadian ice dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir who won gold in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and silver in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. So far the book is very interesting and I can’t wait to share more about the amazing skating duo.

  1. Jackie,
I am still in awe at your fortitude in sticking with such an ambitious project. I've said this before, but your passion for reading shows through in your blogging and in your sincere and informative reviews. I especially love that your next selection is about iceskaters; it is smart to keep your readings relevant so that your audience doesn't have to work to stay engaged in your reviews and recommendations :)

    Keep it up!

    1. Thanks Becca, your feedback means a lot to me. I cannot wait for you to read more about my project as the school year comes to a close.
